Children First Foster Family Agency (CFFFA) Introduction
The founders of Children First Foster Family Agency have had a long standing commitment to quality care in child welfare and human services. When CFFFA was formed in 1999, our purpose was, and still is, to help individuals of all ages realize their full potential and achieve their personal goals. We are dedicated to providing a safe, supportive environment that will nurture and inspire the children, adults and families we work with daily. Our goal at CFFFA is to offer a stable alternative to institutional care.
CFFFA will support children in having their emotional, psychological, and mental health needs met, and prepare them for permanency, whether that be reunification, guardianship, or adoption. Children placed with our agency will have their needs assessed, goals will be established, and outcomes monitored. CFFFA social workers guide our resource families and monitor and interact with children in care, assessing their needs and following up on the Appraisal Needs and Services Plan (ANSP).
The Children First offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Emergency crisis services are provided 24-7. Children are provided services on an as needed basis as determined by their Appraisal, Needs, and Services Plan (ANSP) in their current resource home environment, school, in a public setting, or in our office. Each child is assessed and served based upon their individual needs, however most children are served by professionals at a frequency of 3-5 times per week. Fees are set by the State of California Rates Bureau and the agency contracts for payment with the county in which the child is a juvenile dependent of the Court. 2022 rates can be found at 22-59.pdf. Our social worker, support staff, and administrative staff are aware of and deliver services that are consistent with industry practices in a trauma-informed environment.
